Honestly, it's been so long that I don't even know anymore. Now that's sad and I didnt even realize it.

Enjoying doing things together.... If she is going to cook then I want to be part of the journey, not just eat the meal... don't tell me to stay away because I may make a mess. By the same token, if I am fixing my car then it would be nice if she would say, I don't know anything about fixing the car but I can hand you over the wrench while we talk about nothing in particular and I won't tell you go away because the garage is my territory..... Also, enjoy simple things like walking together holding hands, watching whatever on TV even when sometimes either one of us won't care about the show but still will enjoy the company..... If we can do those things together and both feel the same way then we are perfect for each other. That is exactly what I never had in more than 20 years. Still married, not together. She is NOT a bad person by any means, we are just different and those things are not easy to see when young and sexy....that ship sailed away a while ago.....

Having common passions and helping each other pursue said passions.

At this point in my life, I just really want someone who WANTS to be with me. Who is interested in me and my life. I don't need money or flowers or anything like that. Just make a priority in your life, like maybe top 5. I love stupid little gestures that let me know he's thinking about me. Sneak a note in my purse or put it on my mirror. Text me saying "thinking about you." Open my car door. Take an interest in what I am into rather than expect me to adapt to what you like.

A mutual attraction inside and out and no horrible deal breakers would be GREAT. So more of a lack of Nos vs Yeses. ....

I look for a deep conversation where we both challenge how things are "supposed to be" and ask why. It is so rare to find someone who can carryl on a long intellectual discussion.
