Was just sitting outside watching a good lightning show. Do you enjoy a good non-severe thunder storm?
I even enjoy the severe ones . Our chimmeny got hit jumped to the house wireing and destroyed every tv ,computer oven controls , put pinholes in the gas lines in water heater , stove and gas dryer .the chimmeny exploded damaged two cars and put a hole in the porch roof . I now am protected by lightening rods on both house and shop .Being a vol. fireman I go to house fires every year started by lightening
I love 'em and sit on the screen porch to watch. My 3 dogs even love them... what are the chances of that (all past dogs terrified of them)? Two of my dogs even want to go out in the yard to pee during thunderstorms. Guess it gets them excited. They bark back at the lighting and thunder and dance around in the rain! Me, I stay inside.
I prefer the severe ones, destructive weather and geologic processes. There’s nothing like the fury of nature to reveal to the human just how insignificant it is.
I love thunderstorms! Growing up in the midwest we had them regularly, and now that I live in California, I miss them. Thunder here is a rare treat and if I'm home when it does occur, I'm out on the patioreveling in the marvelous display of nature.
Yup. I can just lie in bed at night and watch the lightning storms playing across the sky from my 5th floor apartment sliding glass door windows.
During rainy season I see a lot of them here in Songkhla, Thailand.
Yes, I love watching the clouds roll in and listening to the thunder.
Wow! Dancing around excitedly, I watched a spectacular lightning storm in September 2012. Over 100 wildfires were started by one lightning storm in Chelan County, WA. High winds merged fires.
Due to heavy smoke in Wenatchee, my doctor ordered me to evacuate. With asthma, I couldn't breathe.
Hazardous air quality levels are 301 to 500 ppm. In Wenatchee, the air quality level was 1,300 ppm. I evacuated west to Sequim, WA for nine weeks.
