I am good friends with most if my exes. I always leave the door open for friendship. My reasoning is that I was once in love with that person. How could I possibly hate them now?

Life is too short, no room for hate. That's very cool !!!!!!

On very friendly terms with 3 out of 4. Ex wife/mother of my children is only one I don't get on with. One is here now to take me to watch her grandson play soccer, I hate soccer, but he lives in another state, and since he is playing near me, he and his parents want me to go along. grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Level 8

I was only married once and that was ended by cancer. Outside of that, I have had a few close nonmarital relationships. We made clean breaks in each and went no contact from that point forward, allowing each the chance to possibly connect with someone new.

One such "ex" lives near me. When we run into each other, we treat each other with fondness, but let it go at that.

My ex was best man at my wedding.

Still a good friend, but no longer any romantic interest between us.

@BearMcClure None of my marriages have been in church nor have they had any religious content in any of the services.

@BearMcClure Why do you think I've been married so often.... 😉

@Uncorrugated If I ever find the right person then I will have to get a divorce first (which my wife understands as we have been separated for a long time now but still married) and I am sure she would be happy to be my best man, no doubt. As I would do for her as well.
