Love songs.
What are your favourites?
I have so many - but I'll get the ball rolling.
Split Enz - I Hope I Never. This song still brings me to tears.
@Spudnut Would you say she's leaving home?
None. lol Jeff Hanneman once said something it's more fun to write about, war religion, and the occoult rather that the love of your life, or a picnic in the park. But two songs I do like are Got My Mind Set On You by George Harrison, and Only Women Bleed by Alice Cooper.
I will pay that.
@Palindromeman You're paying for my next slayer ticket? It's their last tour (the band hasn't been the same since Jeff died). I've seen tickets advertised for as much as $625! Yikes! If anyone says their faverote love song is Achey Breaky Heart, I might have to block you. lol Whenever I hear that song, I feel like punching things uncontrollably.
@TheGreatShadow $625????? Christ in a sidecar. And, yes, Achey Breaky Heart is strictly off the table.
@Palindromeman yep $625. What probably happened is a lot of scalpers bought lot bringing the price up. A friend of mine bought a ticket to the tune of $200. I paid $666 (plus port fee) to go on a 3 night 4 day music cruze. That had 40 bands and food was included! This is nuts!
@TheGreatShadow You paid $666? Are you sure Lucifer wasn't the ticketmaster
@Palindromeman Never know, but that was a 4 day cruze! $625 is just nuts!
@TheGreatShadow Copy that.
When you walked into the room
There was voodoo in the vibes
Captured by your style
But I could not catch your eyes
The Cure - Just Like Heaven

LOVING HER WAS EASIER, Kris Kristofferson.writer
IF YOU COULD READ MY MIND, Gordon Lightfoot, writer
IF I HAD YOU... AT LAST... both best performed by Etta James (my opinion)
UNFORGETTABLE, best performed by Nat. . . . . .... " "
ALL THE WAY... THE VERY THOUGHT OF YOU... EMBRACEABLE YOU... THESE FOOLISH THINGS... NIGHTS ARE FOREVER.
Tiniest tip of the iceberg... lovin Pandora, 10/11 hours per day.
The Righteous Brothers "You Lost That Loving Feeling"
Bowie "Heroes"
Just for one day...
Actually now that you posted that I like I would be your slave.
Elvis Costello 'Alison', 'Veronica', and, as paradoxical as it may at first seem, this:
Veronica breaks my heart every time I listen to it. Even better with the video:
Veronica is a great song, but my Elvis favorite is Allison
@Palindromeman Yeah - to hear him sing over the original track adds more depth and (if it's possible) greater sadness. I often tear up as I watch, as I do with 'Tramp The Dirt Down'.
@moNOtheist He received so much shit about Tramp The Dirt Down when Thatcher died. Which is hilarious, because he recorded it years ago.
Counting Crows, ‘Black and Blue’. Haunting. Also their ‘Colorblind’. Civil Twilight, ‘Letters from the Sky’. There are so many!
