Oh I agree a beautiful piece of music can bring one to their knees. The music was written to evoke an emotion and it did just that however in no way does it make me believe in god. No way.

Agreed. Some of my favourite noise is still church music, though of course my attitude to it is somewhat different from previously.

Well it may have been commissioned by the church, but it's beautiful because of the people who wrote it, many of whom were closet atheists. No credit for paying for something beautiful, all credit to those who make something beautiful.

The funny part is that according to the bible Satan was the angel of music, his body was made up of instruments.

For centuries musicians were dependent on wealthy patrons to pay them, unless they wanted to play music on the street for money, so many early compositions were written to amuse kings.

When the church rose to wealth and power, they became the major music sponsors, asking musicians to write religious music for church services.

The music puts them in a state of hypnosis !,,   lol
