No pet section, but anyone have an amusing or amazing anecdote about a pet?
Mine:
In 1973 I had dinner with my parents on the Cap Haitian, Haiti, waterfront, while their pet Hispaniola Amazon parrot was laughing and swinging by one foot from the swing at the top of his large cage.
Eventually, the wire hook on his makeshift swing straightened and came unhooked.
The parrot climbed up carefully bent the hook back around, tested it, bent it a little more, tested it again, then rehooked it to the cage top, and resumed swinging.
Back then, scientists were still was saying birds weren't intelligent enough to do such things, but I was seeing it.
I bellowed, "Did you you see that?! Your parrot just fixed his swing with his beak. He bent the wire, tested it, and bent it until it worked! That's impossible!"
My startled parents glanced up from their food, my mom murmured, "That's nice, Dear," and they resumed eating.
Parrots are very intelligent especialy greys they can unscrew anything and take apart almost everything and greys mimic so well you can hardly tell the difference and they can break a finger they surly can bend a wire
Parrots are territorial and usually take to one person which is unfortunate since they live so much longer than we do and if sold or given away they are often unhappy
My dog, Punk, would get between my guests and the door whenever they said they were leaving. One of my friends asked what he wanted and I told her he was asking to go with, she said "whatever" and he gave her a dirty look grabbed her hand with his mouth and led her to the car and jumped in. When he was ready to come home he would refuse to get out of the car. Did it all the time.
We have a long cabinet by a window and my grandson was eating fish sticks while we were doing homeschooling and i warned him the cat might take a fish stick and that if the plate tipped we could not get all the food out from behind the cabinet about that time a fish stick fell behind the cabinet the cats arm went and caught the fish stick before it hit the ground and dragged it up and ate it
same cat snached garlec bread off my daughters plate
Our cat who never before touched the toilet paper watched a commercial where the cat played with the to unrolling it ...the next day our cat not only unrolled the entire roll but she had it all over the apartment
That is funny.
