I wish religious people who live in first world nations understood that the reason they don't see the detrimental effects of religion is because they live in places with enough people who don't rely on religion to make life better. For example in America you have the Bill gates, the Steve Jobs, the Elon Musks inventing things that make life easier and better for everybody and the reason they can do that is because they are not praying 6 times a day for some miracle. They use their time to think critically and come up with solutions that advance progress for everyone. This isn't the case in most religious places in the world. The reason why people in the Middle-East and Africa can't be as advanced and inventive is because they are raised to believe praying will bring about miracles, and some deity is largely responsible for making their lives better. Would you agree that religion is largely responsible for apathy in our world?
Love this question and the logical conclusion(s)! I believe apathy is one of the biggest problems anyone can have....how many people did not vote here & look at the mess we are in!
Absolutely not!! Religion along with politics and colonialism are the "holy terrors" that visited the world. Artificial ideals along with artificial borders have caused more harm and apathy to this world than anything else
