At least in Europe there is a recognition that these men are extremists and and also the Europeans are willing to try to address the problem. The answer in the U.S. (now) would mostly be: lock them all up forever in extremely cruel conditions, perhaps in a population where they could spread their ideas (b/c we aren't good at thinking about this) and/or start kicking ALL Muslims out of the country (like Trump's admin doesn't want an excuse to do this already).
