LINK Those who embrace religious uncertainty report lower self-esteem following reminders of death

This research study found that "Quest-Oriented" people (those who are continually questioning there own belief system) experience lower self-esteem than religious people when confronted with thoughts of death.

I could understand being more uncomfortable with thoughts of death, but "lower self-esteem"?

Comments welcome.

"In the study, 95 undergraduate students were randomly assigned to write about either their own death or dental pain."

So based on that the sample size was fewer than 50 students in one university. Does anybody else see a problem with extrapolating from this data to make assumptions across every possible demographic.

I would need to see the amount of people studied and the statistics and the variations. I don't buy it. Not until a large enough study and a duplicate study are done.
