QUESTION United denies woman's attempt to bring peacock onto flight - Business Insider

This sort of foolishness has got to stop. My whippet trained herself to recognize when I'm about to have a seizure. Yet, b/c she is NOT certified and is NOT a service animal, I'm not going to slap a vest on her and willy-nilly-viola! declare her my service animal or even an emotional support dog. People are abusing the permissions given to service animals and that is going to cost those who truly NEED them.

I used to own an apartment building, I approved a future tenant, on the application there is a spot that specifically ask if you have any pets, he checked the NO box, a few days after he moves in I see him walking his dog into his unit, he said that it was an "emotional support dog" and that he would get a note from his doctor, I told him while he's at it, he needs to get a vest for the dog and every time he takes it out, the dog needs to wear the vest, he told me that he was going to talk to his fucking lawyer and see if was breaking the law, by telling him that the dog had to wear a vest

I work for an airline. It's called the livestock report, see what kind of stuff people try to bring on. Pigs, chikens and monkeys are high on the list. No carrier. It is getting pretty bad. You should have to list your critter when you buy the ticket.

Monkeys. Can't stand the little bastards. For some reason, when I was a kid. My old man kept monkeys. They are nasty, dangerous little fuckers that belong in the jungle, or wherever. Just not around me.

Hi BookGeath,I agree it is the people that abuse the system who make it difficult for genuine users.

I work in a retail grocery store and I have seen people bring their dogs in on a leash, in a purse, in their arms and sit them in carts, walk along the store getting in others path, urinating on the floor and in one case, I saw a woman pick up a package of chicken, let her dog lick it and put it back.

I made a point of picking up the chicken in front of her and taking it away but shitgoddamfuck that pissed me off

NONE of the above described animals had a vest on.

What pisses me off is that we have a policy regarding non service animals which is clearly posted yet nobody has the sac to tell the customers they can't bring the dog in or at least not let them lick the damn food or piss on the floor.

I can't believe some of the teacup varieties haven't been hurt by another shoppers cart

Maybe I'm a dick, but I'm about done with "emotional support" animals. Grow up and become a recluse like the rest of us. 😛

A PEACOCK!!!? Holy schnitzel!

"Excuse me, but where can I stick this gigantic, screaming bird for the flight? I don't think it will fit in the overhead."
Haaa, haaa! That's a definite NFW.

Yeah. It's getting really ridiculous and being taken advantage of. Always frustrating for people who really need them, someone always has to come along and spoil it...
