Hello I hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday. I really like to know how many people on here are really interested in meeting genuine authentic say what you mean and mean what you say type of person?
I was and I did here. On vacation with fellow site member now.
long vacation
you never know - lol
I try to be that type, and I appreciate it in others.
I don't always tell the cold hard truth to everyone I know, but if you ask my opinion you'll get my honest opinion, and I am brutally honest with people I respect and like.
I don't tell the truth unless asked....but, as you, I am honest all the way with my answers. This has caused me more than one headache and few "friends". I won't change.
I’d rather meet someone who is genuine and honest with me. I don’t expect them to tell me everything unless they are comfortable with it. I do have a bad habit of keeping things to myself. Maybe I should be a little more open. But it takes me a while to warm up to people. Add to that I am an introvert. Not a good combination for someone to see me as genuine.
I came here for dating but I stayed for the memes.
I'm new here and still find the site somewhat confusing.
I am sure there are folks here for many reasons.
I have always been a "say what you mean and mean what you say type of person". I suppose I am just made that way.
I'm always intereted in meeting like minded folks, they are better company than those you tell you what they think you want to hear. Of cousre most folks here are in the USA and I'm in rural Britain but I have family across the pond and fly over every year.
There the only kind of people I'm interested in.
I think everyone here expresses themselves honestly. I've only seen one member that was obviously delusional to the point of pity.
For now just enjoying the conversation, although miracles can happen.
Why it's a long shot;
I am currently living in southern Thailand.
When I return to the US, I plan to live near my daughter, in Lexington, KY, although a birder living near Sidney could tempt me into changing plans, LOL!
I'm 65 years old, so not exactly date bait, and,
being demisexual, don't really care one way or the other if I find someone now.
My criteria for a match..if the person (I still don't know my sexual orientation, being demisexual) is more FUN to be with, than doing things on my own.
That's a tall order, since I love my independence.
I am a bit confused as to the meaning of "genuine authentic." If you mean finding people that accurately represent themselves, although I try to represent myself honestly, I am a bit sceptical. In my part of the world, most are ardent theists and I have no desire to waste time with those that place faith based superstition above facts and reason. Years ago I tried on an online dating service and encountered a woman who defined herself as not religious, single, no kids, not a smoker etc. She was only a four hundred mile round trip drive so after dozens of online correspondence events I hit the road to find a married (hubby in the pen), woman with several children (including an infant) she was having difficulties financially supporting. She was also a smoker. Would I like to find a compatible partner with a similar mindset (honesty, compassion, reverence) to share the many joys of life; someone to share happiness and all aspects of life, yes. Am I optimistic that I will find such a partner on this service? . . .
