I had two boys 5 years apart that played video games in the 90's. The older boy was 2 when I married his father and had some issues. The younger one was simply spoiled

The older boy had to have therapy around 10 and during the course of therapy, we all had sessions.
Anyway, the younger one had to be taken off video games because unlike his brother, couldn't seem to separate the game from reality.

The therapist said that some kids can while others can't. Now these boys are 29 and 34-still daily gamers and the older one is usually calm with rare flashes of intense anger whereas I half expect to find out my younger one is behind some swatting event.

edited to add that I do not think gaming is the cause although I used to. Violence predates gaming and every generation blames it on something.

That's like blaming rape on pornography

I like it. Of course the places where there are less guns there is less murders. Unless you are talking about a 3rd world country in a civil war, like Rwanda or Seirra Leon or somewhere they use knives and clubs.
