Why wear a cross?

If Jesus had his fingernails pulled off w/ pliers, and then was shot to death. Would people wear pliers & pistols?

It's all just so weird.

Visious and repellent. Subliminal hatred in the form of love

Chances are it was an 'X' shape not a 't' shape. At the time of Jesus' death, the ground was rock and sand -- it takes a lot of effort to dig a post hole in that. It's simpler to use an 'X' with a prop to support it. That's why the soldiers were present, As to the graven image -- all religions have them -- it is a badge to identify like members of the cult. I always thought the Commandment about 'thou shalt have any graven image before...". It was a failed attempt at having religion be personal not public. (look up 'to grave' in the dictionary)

I like that you called it a cult. Because the popstar religion's call Mormons cultists. And fail to see their own poisoned koolaid

I just thought it was so you could hype shredded foam pillows on TEE VEE ?

Yes, that's what they would wear...kinda like people who wear team jerseys with logos...it's all about identifying as a member of the team

What would you name this team? (+_+)

@Aaaaaatheist the torturers

It was a horrible form of torture and public execution imposed on even petty crimes for hundreds of years.

Nitpicking picadillos! O🙂

Keep the Vampires away. That would be the only reason.

Day worshipers! Hiss

In Christianism there are 2 kinds of cross.
The one with Jesus and the one without.
The one populated is like you describe, to remember the suffering and teach that the world will fight back against their religion and suffering will happen.
The empty one is to show that Jesus beat death, that he was able to resurrect.

The empty one is a nice symbol, represents a nice history of good beating evil. The populated one is from a religion based on masochism and conformism that people need to suffer to have the eternal good life.

And I am talking about the symbols, not the religion.

If Jesus was impaled, the Christians, instead of making cross signs, they would put a finger up their asses!

That's called "holy divers"! Hilarious

I always wondered, if he was killed by guillotine would people wear a guillotine on a chain, or hang one over the bed?

Right! It's sadomasachism.

@Aaaaaatheist Religions are the founders of sadomastic and sadistic rituals.

@Nevermind345 yeah they came up with pretty good stuff!

Why wear an agnostics t-shirt?

People like things that say something about them. Me, I like books.

Do people wear agnostic t-shirts? I've never seen one. PS what books do you like?

@Aaaaaatheist yes we get free ones at lvl 8 and I wear mine 🙂

@Aaaaaatheist I think many people wear to express their feelings about religion.

I like books about psychology and the classics.

@LadyAlyxandrea what do they say?

@LadyAlyxandrea, @SwampBatman maybe a Kindle or a Nook?

@Aaaaaatheist they say "agnostic.com"

@LadyAlyxandrea cool! Thanks

Good point. Personally I dislike symbols. I never allowed my kids to wear cartoon characters or anything like that. Maybe I'm weird but I find all that very distasteful.

No cartoons? Why? I can see the older stuff was a little violent. But really?

@Aaaaaatheist I just never really supported commercialism .

@confidentrealm unfun mom! What kind of cereal did you buy?

@Aaaaaatheist lol. I honestly don't remember
