LINK John Oliver’s parody book among most ‘challenged’ works

That this book would be formally challenged does not surprise me as a librarian. We get book challenges frequently for ALL SORTS of reasons. But that organizations are still doing PUBLIC BOOK BURNINGS in 2019? How very Fahrenheit 451 of them! (Probably one of the books burned....grrrrr!) Happy National Library Week, everyone!

I hate the thought of book burnings.

And this book in particular. Any book with this level of humor and insight should never be burned.

So I should write and gay book. Then start a group that wants to burn it. With the right publicity I could make enough to retire on burnt book sales. These idiots don't realize that they are giving the book a longer life and more advertising that the publishers could ever hope for.

Good for John Oliver and Charlotte Pence. Makes me want to buy all of them. but will have to be audible. Still can't get used to reading on a tablet

When in the library all books like the bible should be in the fiction or mythology section where they belong.... If you find one outside those sections please be kind and return them to the appropriate section to avoid confusion....

Yeah, burn the truth, the facts and try to make people believe fairy tales and bullshit. SMH that people think book burning is okay.

Seems religious arguments only win when you burn opposing views

was it not ever thus
