LINK The Evil Triad "loses": Better Buy: General Electric vs. Boeing -- The Motley Fool

Instead of responding tp Airbus' new planes with good old fashioned sabotage, meddling in supply lines, or political manipulation, Boeing tried to rush a new "better" product to market, and paid the "ultimate price". Their stock shares have plummeted in value. From a capitalist business perspective, Boeing failed. GE invested in Boeing (took an inordinate amount of business contracts from an accidentally "ethical" corporate overlord) and now they're hurting too. Lesson learned. Never try to compromise between capitalism and "ethical consumption".

Capitalism kills. Question is, would more people have died in what would have been a fairly large economic downturn (economic stress increases crime and drug usage) in Boeing's "towns" than the number of people killed in the crashes? Remember, only forginers died and they only count as .5 of an American.
