Yes, thanks. I wasnt aware of Walter Pitts, but I'll be looking into his history now. Fascinating stuff, and is very related to a lot of my philosophical work.

Pitts and the others were never mentioned in any of my computer classes .

The forgotten man in all this is Tommy Flowers, the man whose achievement was suppressed by the British official secrets act. The man who built the world's first electronic, programmable computer, long before the US.

You won't find a lot of that in computer classes because those deal mainly with hardware and software not history....
