It just shows what a backward fucking country we really are. It shows that just because our technological advances may lead the world, it has nothing to do with how far we are behind in our growth as a society. Many of our European friends have shown us the way, but our arrogance, our John Wayne mentality, and entrapment in our nineteenth century approach to religion holds us back. IMO
