LINK Viral-video arrest puts focus on troubling incidents of police escalation nationwide

A scared policeman is worse than most of the people they encounter. What they could do to try and de-escalate a potentially bad situation is ask the perp What would they do in their (the police) shoes? Possibly they could find a way to meet in the middle.

...some Scandinavian countries, including Finland and Sweden, require recruits to go to a four-year police university before they are assigned to departments.

Can we do this, please? Pretty please with sugar on top?
