Claims of mind-reading? Delusion? Atheists are sometimes admonished for rejecting these "very loving people" and no longer speaking to them. But how can you interact with someone who doesn't even acknowledge the reality of how you think? What planet do they live on?
And an even better one, "Your heart is actually crying out for God; that's how you are so preoccupied with religion. You will eventually ask for forgiveness, but who knows whether God will forgive you."
These people are so sure of themselves they invent a parallel reality. And I'm supposed to not find it insulting.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.What's really going on here is that to admit that atheism is in any way a considered position with reasoning behind it -- even ill-considered or badly reasoned -- is to admit to the possibility it is not beyond the pale and to have to engage with it honestly. That is something they know their belief system cannot stand.
Better to understand it as repressed belief, hatred of god or believers, licentiousness, duplicity, misunderstanding, confusion, nihilism, chilblaines, STDs, anything no matter how ridiculous so long as it is negative and isn't remotely credible or understandable.
