Oh, and what extra "gun laws" on top of the many hundreds we already have, would have prevented two or more idiots who don't know how to check their targets before firing, shooting each other??? Maybe you'd like to volunteer to go out on a hunt sometime to make sure that no one gets drunk, smokes any weed, has a high enough IQ to actually know what they're doing??
How about we have super strict testing on people who get behind the wheel of a car or truck so we can eliminate the ones who cause the accidents too, then? Less than ten percent of the men and women who are "driving" cause more than ninety percent of the accidents! How do you explain that?
Last I read, fifty THOUSAND people die from traffic collisions each year, tens of thousands die from doctor's errors, many thousands die from drug and alcohol addictions, many thousands die from heart disease and cancer and diabetes, etc. WHY aren't you clamoring for "laws" that will curtail these deaths, huh?? Do you really think that the only cause of premature deaths is gun shot wounds??

Do you really believe that crap? It was so over the top bad in the fiction department I couldn't believe it or even read the whole thing!! It was plainly written by somebody with an agenda. Some guy's gun went off accidentally TWICE?!?! Evidently all of that "education" he got from his fellows in the hunting group went in one ear and out the other! I NEVER have a round chambered until I have acquired a promising target and I know for sure what's behind it!! Only THEN will I slip a round into the breach as quickly and quietly as I can and bring my sights to bear on it. Registered guns are guns that will be gone before you know it when the political winds change enough.
If it was a mechanical issue with his gun going off accidentally, he needs to take it in for repairs or junk it! But if he's too cheap to do that, at the least he shouldn't carry the gun while loaded!
And again, look at how many premature deaths there are each year and were caused by licensed saw bones "doctors" improperly prescribing their toxic pills and potions, by idiots who get behind the wheel of a deadly machine while they are impaired (taking their license away didn't stop them them from doing that, did it?), poor dietary choices leading to heart disease and lung cancer from smoking. The number of gun caused deaths totally PALE in comparison!! Why don't we have stricter control on who can become a doctor or who can drive a car then, if that really is a solution to an even worse problem than owning and using a gun? How about having a "bag limit" on how many cheeseburgers you can eat per year?
The Second Amendment is NOT about hunting game of any kind, it's about fighting off tyranny when it raises its ugly head.

@altschmerz Sounds very sensible. Sweden have always been sensible though. I fail to see why these precautions cause such a furore in America. No one is stopping anyone hunting. It does however prevent the ad hoc displays of gun violence in public places that is synonymous with many parts of America.

What would be the argument against that?

Well Fineswine does, Boxer does, Pelosi and Schumer do, the Klintons want to disarm Americans, Ted Kennedy wanted to disarm us, how many more of the main players of the Demoncrap party do I have to name? Sarah Brady once said that we had to have our guns taken away from us so they could implement their socialist agenda! Janet Reno basically said the same thing. I sure am glad that both of them are taking dirt naps right now! Taking guns away from the populace has been a cornerstone of the Demoncrap party ever since I can remember! All of the major players mention it from time to time.
Here's the real solution to all of these libturds trying to run my life the way they think it should be done. Since the legal system/Matrix is the gauge by which all is judged, and it is now 100 percent corrupted, we have no obligation to abide by ANYTHING that those men and women in black robes tell us to do! How is it that a man or woman can be a criminal, and still have any amount of power or authority over anyone else?? Here's the logic behind that question. The Actors, Officers, Agents and Operators of the legal system/Matrix commit the crime called fraud every day that they show up for their "job"! They violate the very precepts that the legal system/Matrix is supposedly there to enforce! Which is to right wrongs, dispense justice to aggrieved parties and punish the law breakers sufficiently so they do not commit any more crimes!
Look up the definitions of Contract and Fraud in a law dictionary, and then tell me that I am wrong.
