What are some of your favorite movie quotes?
What are some of your favorite movie quotes and why are they meaningful to you? I quite enjoy Brad Pitt's Achilles in Troy when he discusses the impermanence of being mortal:
"I'll tell you a secret, something they don't teach you in your temple: The gods envy us. They envy us because we're mortal, because any moment might be our last. Everything's more beautiful because we're doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again."
I think it highlights that life's value comes from its impermanence. Seize the day, because there will never be another like it.

@arronpaul46 I decided to actually read the book too. The movie is surprisingly loyal and true to the book... well the updated and abridged version by William Goldman.
@arronpaul46 I like to read the books that were made into movies to see how they handled the adaptation. In most cases the books are better, but there are rare exceptions where the adaptation is better. For instance the TV show "Dexter" about a serial killer who only kills otyher serial killers is better than the books that the show ws adapted from.
@arronpaul46 Yeah, I hated how they ended the "Dexter" series. But, it was great while it lasted. Another book series where the adaptation seems to be better is "Game of Thrones" Of course they hve not finished th eseries yet and the books have fallen behind, and the two diverged in the fifth season.
