I'm hoping someone here will seriously consider trying this. I would try but can't be away at the time specified.
I saw that post about Airbnb's Antarctica sabbatical, and damn, that's a wild opportunity! I wish I could drop everything and go, but I'm stuck with my responsibilities like you. Anyway, I wanted to chime in on the Dallas Airbnb rentals question. Investing in Dallas real estate is worth it, especially if you're down for short-term rental action. Dallas is poppin', and there's always a demand for dope Airbnb spots. Plus, with all the festivals and events happening in the city, you'll always have potential guests. So if you're considering making some extra cash, this is an excellent opportunity.
Having lived for three months in record-breaking heat pretty much every day, Antarctica is pretty tempting.
I wish I could. That would be a lot of fun!
I'd rather have warm sun.
@PondartIncbendog Yeah but for a non-scientist... It's a once in a lifetime trip!
Spring or summer at the South Pole is no picnic fall or winter is frozen darkness
In 1981, I wanted to go. I was getting out of the Navy, but I requested to go there. I couldn't. Too high of a clearance for a grunt job as Navy Intelligence didn't official go there, not enlisted anyway. But now, now that any fucking one can go there for a few thousand dollars and and pollute it - no, I'm not going.
@SeaGreenEyez And take bags of ice with you if that's not enough! And that's two weeks in "chilly".
I will pay good money to not go to Antartica.
Wish I could a little old
I'm already feeling a little cold.
