Trump and the GOP?

Rick Wilson, a long-time hardball GOP strategist, tells how Trump took over the GOP in Everything Trump Touches Dies. The free Kindle sample persuaded me so I won’t buy the $14 Kindle book.

Heather Cox Richardson, in her 2014 (before Trump) To Make Men Free: A History of the Republican Party wrote:

Religion. Before the religious right took over the Republican primary process it was a decent enough party, not great, but not psycotically insane.
