The FBI is investigating this shooting as terrorism. Not because they have any reason to think it was, but simply because its a much easier way to gather evidence without regard to actual laws about criminal investigations. Thanks, Patriot Act.

He was clearly motivated by people who are terrorists but that doesnt make him one. Did you read the article? The FBI spokesperson stated the sole reason for using anri terrorism statutes was convinience, not because there was a concern of any conspiracy (part of the definition of terrorism). Are you ok with giving law enforcement a pass if they choose when they don't feel like following established rules about criminal investigations?
@MarkiusMahamius ''Motivated by terrorists"? That IS a terrorist. This should have been labeled terrorist. There were several people involved. They were on a military base, a federal installation was attacked. There was preplanning.
