out of boredom I was checking out the new slasher flick releases and saw a canadian one called "Aquaslash".
normally I check a movies' rating and some comments before committing time to it but ... corona. I did check the rating for this one still and it was a 6.8. That's wonderful for a slashermovie. so many barely make it out of the 3's. hmmm.
then I read the teaser and it said superfluous sex and suspense and the normal slasher fare. I kinda miss the 70/80's slasher films so I checked it out.
it was actually pretty good. still a cheap, bad camerawork, poor acting movie ... but it was produced and cut in such a way that it successfully built suspense and the payoff was pretty good.
Aquaslash. a Canadian slasher flick. the killer says "sorry about that eh?" as he chops you apart.
Some can be interesting in their own way, but I've found I become far too upset and disturbed by the genre I consider "torture porn." Can't remember the title, but one I recently found satifying was a Western where the evil bad guys all got their just desserts as the good guy who was traumitized by the murders of loved ones tracked them all down. Kind of a cowboy "Death Wish."
I miss old western shows.
@JeffMesser - on Netflix I enjoyed "Big Kill" and "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs." "Godless" was good too. All Westerns. Couple others I'll look up for you when I get the chance.
I can’t stand to watch that stuff. I’ve seen it in real life.
I do enjoy realism where there is an underlying meaning.
I don't like the color red. Blue is ok. Yellow is fine. And Green is really, really great.
I hate red.
