HIM: Hi, this is Scott. So many questions.
ME: Ask away.
HIM: What are your politics?
ME: Why do you ask? I’m a Democrat and support Planned Parenthood.
HIM: I support Planned Parenthood. I’m a Trump supporter. This isn’t going to work.
ME: I agree. In my profile, I wrote “I am politically liberal and not religious.” That means I’m an atheist. Didn’t you read at top of my profile: “If you are a Trump supporter, hit the back button NOW”?
HIM: I didn’t read that. Goodbye. (CLICK)
ME: (thinking) The idiot doesn’t read! Typical ignorant Trump supporter. No wonder the he hasn’t bothered to write a decent profile or post pictures of him hiking. Living in liberal Seattle, he must have trouble dating. Good.
I recently quit dating sites because a Trump supporter decided to pretend to be liberal. He went with the “hate Trump and everything he stands for”. I discovered his lies when we traded phone numbers. He lives in the middle of nowhere on 11 acres. What were his deviant plans if he got me alone out there? I’ve yet to converse with any Trump supporters who can put together 2-3 pleasant sentences. They’re incapable...
A tRump supporter that supports Planned Parenthood. Who would have thought? Perhaps this is one advantage of online dating.
Now I'll never know what all his unasked questions were.
That man is about as ignorant as the Orange Trump god that he supports and serves. Also, am I "trading a liberty for benefits?" When you give up liberty and freedom you have no benefits. The National Socialist/Fascist regime is in power and in the WH as I type. America is now in the worst recession since the Great Depression. Much of this is possible because people fear Trump who has no idea what he is doing.
I support your words and actions to Scott fully. He should have known better.
I would have lost interest at the opening line and poor grammar. So many questions is a sentence fragment. By basic rules, it would be reflexive to "Hi, this is Scott." How the hell can he have so many questions about his opening statement? While I understand and appreciate the work that personal care givers provide, I'm not willing to wipe the drool from some idiot's mouth.
I can’t imagine a conversation like that occurring too often on a British dating site. I don’t think many people would ask what someone’s politics were as a first question ...unless they were a political wonk! I guess there is a lot more that separates us than the Atlantic Ocean!
Not part of the dating scene but I think the two most important concerns for compatibility would be extreme differences in religion (or lack of) and politics. I'm sure there are other concerns but those are the two most obvious.
@rogueflyer Neither of them would figure highly here...unless the two individuals, or at least one of them, was religious or political.. most Brits are neither.
@Marionville How about Brexit? Are there any strong feelings about exiting the EU?
@rogueflyer Not now that it is going to happen...that battle has been fought, and lost in my case!
@Doraz I understand that...that’s is why I wrote how completely different it is here in the U.K. where nobody cares much about religion or politics. They’d care more about supporting different football teams !
Good for you. I can't imagine dating a trumpophile. Or for that matter, voluntarily associating with any of his supporters. I don't.
Another bullet dodged!
But so many bullets
@Cutiebeauty Serpentine!!!
It’s amazing when people don’t read.
What did you say?
They read: They just don't listen to what their lips are mouthing!
That seems like a conversation that went on too long
After this :
"HIM: I support Planned Parenthood. I’m a Trump supporter. This isn’t going to work."
I would've said bye bye birdie
