What is your state's famous book.
Oregon has several but I cannot remember the names exactly. "Once upon a Great Notion", "One flew over the Cuckoos Nest" There was a movie about a woman going down the Rouge River, The Goonies, The Ring series, Ursula LeGuinn lived in Portland, there are lots of people here, Astoria has several creative people.
THE BIG BURN by Timothy Egan would work well for WA, ID and MT.
Robert Frosts poetry. The best place to read this is the Robert Frost Interpretive Trail in Ripton. [fs.usda.gov]
