So, there's a police precinct on fire in Minneapolis.
The fire isn't being fought by the fire department.
The precinct has been abandoned.

The police are not present to do ANY type of crowd control.
The fire department is not present.

The crowds are not being contained, by anyone.

And away we go!!!!

Hmm... They asked for it... They got it...

Now they're all coming on tv, whining about violence and destruction of
property.
What did they think was going to happen?
What ALWAYS happens when oppressed people get pushed too far?

Right, call out the National Guard, and say that everyone must calm down.

Revolution

If that's what it takes.
Personally, I think we're long overdue for just that.

There is a lot of pent up anger, on both sides. The lock down due to the pandemic only makes matters worse. Some are in for a really bumpy ride.
My late partner thanked her jerk ex husband for getting her out of Iran. She said with her mouth she would be either in jail or dead. She then thanked me for getting her out of Dallass. If she had stayed her proselytizing daughter would be camped at her door. Now I get to thank her for getting me out of a crazy urban setting and into a much saner and calm place. Funny how that works.

This is the 60's all over again...i just can't believe people actually think that Racist Oppression is acceptable in this country.

Not only acceptable but we have a president that appears to enjoy throwing gas on a fire every fucking chance he gets.

I am not sure if this is the case or not... but has anybody heard of this?

Debunked. [heavy.com]

Officials seemed to have made the decision it was a no win situation and left the fury to spend itself. All they had to do was arrest the four cops so that decision was deliberate. I would say it was a bad decision.

The MplPD didn't even make an attempt. They let their own precinct building to be breached. That is shocking to me. They need to prosecute all 4 of those officers. I don't care if they get a fair trial or not. If you're gonna sacrifice the police station and half the Twin Cities then put them on the fire as well.
