I SO feel for this mom! I finally had the tough conversation with my 10-year-old son this weekend.
As a Mama, I want to protect my son and his innocence. But as a member of a racist society, I don’t have that luxury. I realized I needed to tell him what’s going on and tell him that it’s our job to be allies — and to speak up — for all black and brown people.
