Watching the news last night and this came up... But while it was republicans mainly that were taking the money... There were a lot of dems too... And movie stars... Kanye West got money... So did Reese Witherspoon and several other movie stars with businesses. It was entirely legal because republican thugs struck the language that directed the money to small businesses that were struggling and, instead, opened it up to any business. Their explanation was that they needed to get the money out fast and didn't want to be bogged down with... You know... Rules and stuff.

"Forgivable" loans. Just window dressing "weasel words" to disguise direct state aid, which is forbidden by the US constitution for religious groups.

No tax in any amount, large or small, can be levied to support any religious activities or institutions, whatever they may be called, or whatever form they may adopt to teach or practice religion.
