And now, the old, powerful nations are beholden to the upstarts they have created over the past 75 years.
The upstarts have copied their technology whilst being exploited for cheap labour, but have built upon it to become excellent innovators in their own right - but with lower costs!
Now they are buying the assets of the very states which exploited them.
