What do you mean by "God," and what would be so great about it? How would your life, or the lives of others, be improved by that prospect? Or, conversely, how is life worse if there is no God? Would it be great because of the promise of an afterlife and, if so, what about those (in many religious traditions) condemned to eternal damnation? Would you be able to enjoy Paradise knowing that others are suffering Perdition? For that matter, forgetting life after death, if there were a God right now, assuming it's the popular concept of a personal, all-good, all-loving, all-knowing, and all-powerful deity, how does that square with the reality of our existence? Disease? Famine? Suffering? How does God's greatness factor into this not-so-great side of the natural order?
No,,,,,I don't think so. He would try to smite everybody. What the fuck is "smite"?
