I just noticed a member by the name @praytothemilkjug. great name. it made me think how I don't pray to the milk jug but I will drink directly from it. it's all mine. it's not a shared jug of milk. and I got to thinking how sad it was that I don't share my milk....lol. then I was wondering about sharing milk and what that indicates about relationship status. and I begin to wonder about drinking from The Jug etiquette. so I wanted to ask a few questions.
If someone drinks anything out of the bottle and other people use it, they're a disgusting pig. During this pandemic anyone who would do that deserves a beatdown.
I would lose my freaking mind if I caught anyone drinking from the jug. I'm not in the habit of giving beatdowns...but they might WISH I'd chosen that option instead of the shaming that I'd give them.
My question is: if you will drink cow's milk, why would you not drink human milk? I mean, a woman's milk should be as good as cow's milk, right?
Have you tried the stuff? (As an adult, I mean - trying it as a baby doesn't count.) In my humble opinion, it's pretty nasty. It's too sweet or too bitter (depending on whether you get the first squirt or the last,) and the texture of it just feels wrong. Then again, it's still better than soymilk...
@AmyTheBruce You ain't whisling 'Dixie' there.
I was a bottle-fed baby, the first EVER time I tasted Human milk was when I accidently putit into a cup of much needed Coffee when Lorrae and I were staying at Ronald McDonald House, Adelaide and some new Mum had expressed hers into the Community Milk jugs istead of the containers provided by the Hospital.
At least a dozen cups of coffee were poured down the drain that morning.
@AmyTheBruce Where can I buy some human milk? I like boobs but I don't think I want to suck any milk out of them.
@Grecio I recommend the internet. Most nursing mothers would understandably be creeped out if you asked them directly. I am told that the are sites for just this purpose - I cannot vouch for their validity.
I should think that in order to increase the likelihood of getting genuine human milk, you should gravitate towards sites that cater to new or expectant mothers. Steer clear of any site that contains even a whiff of porn.
Or you could make your own milk! Don't be a slacker! You do have all the requisite anatomy, after all. Your nipples aren't just decorations - they will produce milk, given the proper attention. For tutorials on this, I again recommend the internet.
@AmyTheBruce Are talking about human milk? I don't think you can buy it in the USA?
@Grecio google breast milk bank, there are several.
@JenBeberstein Reely? Any in Georgia? Can it be ordered online? Thanks.
I only drink the remaining milk from when I eat cereal. I drink chocolate milk once in a blue moon but I do love cheese!
I love cheese, cow's milk, and chocolate mike. Would I drink human milk? Probably so, especially if it is chocolate.
If I could find some really good tasting, low-calorie chocolate milk I would drink it every day.
@Grecio I don't think there is such a thing! If you find any let me know, I'd love to drink that as well!
None of the above. I just have evaporated milk and use a bit for my café au lait. Other than that, I don't drink anything from the jar because I live with my family.
I have a stainless steel milkshake cup, Nestle's quik bunny spoon and chocolate milk the only milk I drink. Unless of course I run out of chocolate then I'll just have a glass of milk. Jug drinking is out.
The thing that is different about milk is that it tends to make a milky slime in your mouth. This slime tends to discourage people from sharing the jug.
I stopped drinking straight milk as a kid because it was causing horrible stomach pain. Now I’m considering cutting out dairy completely...or at least doing a trial and seeing if my health improves.
This does not mention ANR
I guess human milk is hard to come by. Wouldn't I be better off to drink human milk, since I am a human? I guess, human milk has natural antibodies, etc.. I don't see human milk in the stores. Ladies could provide human milk to help make it through the pandemic. I would drink human milk, but I don't know if I would want to know that it is from a human.
I guess humans can only produce milk after a baby? I dunno?
I guess cow's can produce milk most anytime?
Isn't there sheep milk?
For whatever the reason, cow's seem to produce more and cheaper milk.
A gallon of gasoline -$3.00, a gallon of milk - $3.00. Milk and gas are worth the same amount.
Cows also have to have a baby before they produce milk, people take the baby away for meat and keep milking the cow so she will continue to produce milk.
You drink milk from a petrie dish? Really?
I am 68 years old and most of my life I have drank a gallon of 2% milk every 3 days. I have switched to 1% during the last year and am fine with that.
However, I started drinking 2 beers each day and now I drink 3-4 beers most days. I don't know which is worse for me, but I drink more liquid each day now if I drink the beer.
I rarely drink water because it has no flavor.
@MissKathleen have you tried Krayton? It is a legal herbal. However, it does give you a "high" something like "speed". It is legal in the USA. I purchased some and there is a definite effect. It does give you some kind of high but I HAVEN'T DECIDED IF IT ACTUALLY MAKES ME FEEL GOOD. I THINK IT MIGHT BE RELATED TO SOMETHING LIKE "SPEED" WHICH MIGHT BE GOOD FOR add OR ADHD PEOPLE.
@MissKathleen Have you tried Kratom? Check it out.
@MissKathleen nay, I don't want any tea. I am not from Britain. However, have you tried Krayton?" Check it out. I mean Kraytom, with an m.
@Grecio That stuff can be bad news, if you are lucky enough to be in certain states of USA just smoke weed. Or make weed brownies, just remember to decarboxylate the weed b4 baking. And I am sure no one would believe me after that suggestion, I do not smoke weed or anything else. My personal poison is bourbon, or iced cold beer. I wanna kick Andy Boy in the ass and the rest of the Legislature and get it street legal here.
@MissKathleen Splendid, my dear, splendid!
@MissKathleen Sorry, I think it is Kraytom, with an M... sorry
@MissKathleen In the south (USA) it is too hot to drink tea unless it is very sweet and cold. I don't need all that sugar at my age, and artificial sweetener doesn't taste like real sweet tea. I might as well drink the beer.
@MissKathleen Don't blame you. Now I only drink what we call half and half. It's half sweet and half unsweet. Have you ever tried an Arnold Palmer? Half lemonade and half tea.
@praytothemilkjug What is decarboxylate? Pour sulfuric acid on it?
