I have read about this for several decades......

This data wasn't available that long . . .

@FearlessFly they have always had the stones, and the ability to compare/scan/carbon date stones from surrounding areas. I have indeed read this info many, many times

@AnneWimsey . . . yes, but the geochemical 'fingerprint' of a core sample was not available/done until recently.
