I can’t wait to see the cities that defund the police in a few years. Gonna be freaken beautiful to watch from a distance.

Or, you could read a bit about what "defund the police" Actually means, instead of making a fool of yourself with your silly ASSumptions.....or, if reading is problem, (as it appears to be) look at the pictures above

It will be beautiful.

@AnneWimsey Yeah. The social workers getting shot in the head trying to stop the guy from beating his wife will be pretty spectacular.

I genuinely can’t wait to watch it from a distance.

@CourtJester maybe the social worker will do a better job than the police who came to my house with first hubby, broken furniture, baby screaming, my blood running down my head where he punched my eyeglasses (-real glass) into my face, and they advised Me to "just try to get along harder" and left.......you ought to try real life sometime.......

@AnneWimsey I grew up in a police family. I’m sure there is more to that story beyond your poor choice of men.

@CourtJester actually, no...until Tracy Thurman won her $6 million dollar lawsuit, that's how it was....oh, and I was 18......

@AnneWimsey not ringing a bell. Still believe there’s more to to the story through.

@AnneWimsey Oh... and life’s about choices. Accept your negative ones.

@CourtJester okay, so how about when I fled, with the infant, to a nearby Holiday Inn after he beat me up on a dance floor in front of roughly 150 people and not one person stepped up to stop him kicking me as I lay semi-conscious on the floor, or called the police? I escaped by crawling into the Ladies Room. Took a taxi to the motel after grabbing the baby from the babysitter...who told him the name of the cab company, so he could ask where I was.. He assaulted the night clerk to make him tell the room number then broke in the door. As i ran through the motel in my nightgown, baby under my arm, police arrived. Again, "you need to try to get along", no charges for assaulting the clerk, he only had to pay for the door...no arrest or charges, I guess the door was more valuable than me or the baby.......you were I presume one of those at that dance who tacitly approved? And at 72 i remember it all, but also realize that I learned to be strong & self-reliant in a way few ever become.

@AnneWimsey Yeah.... I come from a police family that are retired and brothers that are state troopers. I’m not buy that story at all. It’s fake or there is way more or less to it. Absolutely no way that would pass muster.
Nice try though.

@CourtJester would you like some pix of the scars (the ones on my face) that i still have, even after some plastic surgery? How about a copy of my divorce decree, signed immediately, instead of the usual 6-month cooling-off period, because of "imminent violence",signed by none other than George Wallace' brother, the County Judge at the time. How about watching "The Burning Bed" starring Farrah Fawcett, free On Demand? Read up on the Tracy Thurman case? I think they made a TV movie about her. I ain't the Lone Ranger, and got off damned easy compared to some.
