Climate change is accellerating exponentially, which makes it ever harder to halt. Although it is unlikely, given enough CO2 in the atmosphere, the earth's surface could reach the boiling point of water. More likely is an earth where the Antarctic is a lush tropical area, and the tropical zones are hot deserts.
