The Nixon pardon was a mistake. It set a precedent where presidents would not be held accountable for their actions. We need to correct the mistake.

After Nixon, Reagan and Geroge H.W. Bush negotiated with terrorists and sold them weapons. George W. Bush authorized torture of prisoners. Presidents need top be held accountable for their actions or else the values on which the U.S. was founded on will disappear in practice. We used to be better than that. It should be noted that George Washington started the tradition of treating prisoners fairly and with respect during the revolutionary war.
