A Walk In The Woods. I read Bill Bryson's book years ago and really enjoyed it so I was keen to see Robert Redford's film,
What a disappointment. Two old codgers stumbling from one motel room to another. Awful.
for me books paint a better picture and give more detail that movies sometimes don't
but I love movies
Very true. With a book you can paint your own pictures. with a film it is from someone else
Whichever form i read/see first, the"other" is almost always a tremendous disappointment
I saw it a few years back. I liked it, of course I never read the book.
I didn't see the first part of the film so maybe I missed the best bit. It has very little in common with the book apart from the name unlike "Wild" starring Reese Witherspoon walking the Pacific Crest Trail. I would recommend both book and film.
