That's quite a huge place for a shore house.

Would fit in the foyer of Mar-a-Lago

@AnneWimsey A cottage in Rehobeth is a million dollars. Why does that have anything to do with Mar-a-lago?

@barjoe size comparison.
Looks to be 60 or so years old, unless a reproduction.....nowhere near the cost when new. My cousins bought an across-the street from-the-ocean substantial 3 bedroom "cottage" for $40,000 when I was about 6. "OMG They must be crazy!" Sold for 6+million 12 years ago.

Large family

Book money

@bobwjr The guy's 78 and has been making good money his whole life. Upper middle class in Delaware have shore houses. It's all good.

@barjoe He was the poorest senator in Congress

@bobwjr He was. He's not poor now

@barjoe Nope he and Jill wrote books, the better way, not from rich donors

@bobwjr He was at one time the least wealthy guy in the Senate. I didn't say he made money from rich donors, I just said he isn't poor. He wouldn't be the richest guy in the Senate today, but He wouldn't be the poorest either. At one things that was Bernie Sanders. Not sure. I'm guessing Raphael Warnock maybe. I'd have to look it up.

@bobwjr Just looked this up. She must be in debt. How can you make 175K/yr and be broke? The poorest member of the U.S. Senate is Michigan’s Debbie Stabenow, a Democrat. In 2018, she had an estimated net worth of an extremely modest $32,500. Stabenow assumed office on January 3, 2001, and her current term ends in 2025.
I'm poor, but I have a house that's paid for in Fishtown so my net worth is more than her.
