It is nice that he is an Early Riser on School Days but perhaps a wee bit later than his USUAL 5.30 or 6.00 am's may be a bit better.
Just had a 'private ' phone call from Young Henry.
He 'needed' answers to 2 questions.
The first being,
Why do I get scared in the dark?
The second,
Why are Girls and Ladies always the Boss?
The first I answered as best I could with, " Everything that is there in the daylight is still there when it is dark, the little noises you hear in the dark were still there in the daytime but there was too msny other noises around for you to hear them."
The second question raised a wee bit of a quiet laugh but I answered with, "Well, mate, it's like this, little girls are in training to be the Boss when they grow up, when they get to teenage Girls they become Supervisors or even Second in Charge then when they became grown Ladies they immediately get to be Commanders In Chief, Directors and BIG Bosses of the House and family."
His response to #2 was, "So what about boys and men?"
"Well mate," I answered, " IF we learn to do as we are told, do NOT argue with the women and girls, because They are ALWAYS right even when they are wrong, then they may just become our friends and partners but sometimes there are girls and women who are a bit different to most."
All I got after that was, " Yeah right, now I'll have my Breakfast" and little chuckle from from him followed until he rang off the phone.
