LINK Judge: Texas Gov. Cannot Block Atheist Holiday Display in State Capitol | Hemant Mehta | Friendly Atheist | Patheos

In 2018 the Freedom From Religion Foundation won a major lawsuit against the state of Texas. Yesterday they did it again.

Because there was a nativity scene in the Texas State Capitol in 2015, FFRF applied to put up their own display. It was a "secular Nativity" featuring the Bill of Rights, three Founding Fathers, and the Statue of Liberty. There was also a sign that wished everyone a "Happy Winter Solstice."

unfortunately, Governor Greg Abbot demanded it be removed.

No matter how many times these Xian asshats are told religious freedom applies to every religion, they always get offended if anyone puts up anything that isn't specifically Xian based as if it's the first time they'd heard it.

How about a display of Greek gods, the Roman gods and the Nordic gods? That might give Governor Greg Abbott an aneurysm in the brain (always assuming that he has a brain, which I wonder about).

We have been fighting this religious jerk for years and I'll bet he tries to remove it again. Funny it isn't overtly atheist.
To all those considering moving to Texass be warned.

Texas will only become "purple" if LIBERALS/progressives move there. The problem is the weather.
