Unfortunately the title is the substance of the article, although it does raise some decent questions I guess. Does it hinge on engagement/disengagement?

I never feel empty when I'm half full.

There's a great deal of difference between feeling always empty and having that experience sometime in your life after a traumatic event. I wish there'd been more emphasis on that difference.
