Well, apparently America is GREAT. To bad we're number one for producing serial killers (over 67% globally, ever) and COVID deaths.
The upside? Mississippi, in and of itself, currently has the 2nd highest per capita COVID deaths, in the world, 2nd only to Peru. (1 in every 320 people in Mississippi has died from COVID. The national average is 1 in 500.)
Serial killers, COVID, domestic violence related deaths, gun violence, and drug overdoses. Making America Great.
El Salvador currently has the highest murder rate of WOMEN in the world according to the United Nations report. India has the highest acid attacks on WOMEN in the world. Mexico City has gender segregated buses for WOMEN only as the attacks on women is so great. South Africa has the highest rape of women statistics in the world. We have some catching up to do.
Probably basically true, but you do have to be wary of a possible bias, because some countries may under-report deaths and crimes, or not even have the term serial killer as part of their culture. Especially in countries with large unrecorded populations, who are often the main victims of violent crime.
Trying to excuse the USA for producing 3,204 by claiming that other countries underreport their own numbers is akin to saying having poor handwriting is not so bad because it hides the fact you cannot spell.
The fact stands, the society of the USA produces copious amounts of extremely violent people, both in recorded numbers and as a proportion of the over all population.
The inexorable conclusion is that American society is fatally flawed at a root level.
@LenHazell53 Yes not trying to excuse the USA, I am sure you are still top, by a long way. Just adding a nuance.
