Revell says he was "god's choice" for police chief. The notion of god intervening in human outcomes is invoked so often by Christians. If that were the case, then humans have little responsibility for social outcomes.

I can only assume he is one of those who thinks America is a Christian nation. My religious buddy backs that crap up by saying believing this way is not going to hurt anything.
