They think the Freedom From Religion Foundation is a hate group, and after identifying it as such they go on to agree with virtually every position of the organization.
How do they feel about agnostics?
"Agnostics" doesn't have quite the cachet I guess...harder to attack because we're just too nice, and reasonable...
Hey! We hate you too! Don't think we're any less of a threat!
I am insulted.
ME, too!
FFRF represents all non theists and focus on keeping any religious belief out of the public domain (why I support them). The religious goon squad might feel that Agnostics may have not abandoned the the idea of a god and could be brought back to the fold maybe.
Does anyone really think that Christians / Evangloons will reject the idea of a so called ‘National Religion’? C’mon now get realistic.
Now you're as guilty of overgeneralizing and attributing false motives as this author. Not every Christian is an evangelical or a conservative. Many Christians are every bit as liberal as (I believe, from your other posts) you or I. Joe Biden comes to mind. Kamala Harris and Terry McCauliffe, who also broke the law by giving campaign speeches in a Virginia church, were mentioned. I don't believe any of those peope (or the millions of Democrats who are also Xians) stand for a national religion. I don't even think most evangelicals favor the idea of forced religion, from those that I've known (in one of the reddest counties in Michigan).
@Paul4747 Maybe I am. Makes no difference. But Michigan isn’t Alabama, or Texas, or Arkansas. I may be wrong but even where I am in Deep Blue NYC, I still manage to run into these Relgious crazies on the subways, or buses here and there and they all try to sell it like a bar of soap, all think theirs is the only “true” one.
@CuddyCruiser I think it does make a difference. Tarring everyone with the same brush is one of my big beefs about fundamentalists. There are atheists and agnostics who aren't hostile to religion, and religious people who aren't hostile to other religions or none at all.
