I got some weird vibes from "The Brave Little Toaster" which was a HUGE thing in the 90's.
And Veggie Tales was obviously Xtian based.
Cartoons are a powerful method to promote propaganda.

Yes! They know they have to get em while they are young with the propaganda. 
Informative article, as usual, but … certain churches avoid disclosing the weirder parts of their dogma “until you’ve been a member long enough that leaving the church is no longer a viable option…” Really?!? Where is THAT threshold? If you can quit a job, you can quit your church. Unless you’re a Scientologist, maybe.
