A double whammy with gun control rulings. First, A new settlement is showing those of us who promote sane gun rules are gaining ground. Sandy Hook has created a precedent. [npr.org] Also, the Alliance for Gun Responsibility has reported the NRA is on it’s death bed [gunresponsibility.org]
This morning on NPR it was reported Missouri and other states are trying to get the federal government out of local gun laws. [npr.org]
Another example of the polarization in this country.
A settlement just shows the company wanted to stop spending money on lawyers for a 9 year long case that never even went to court. The entire lawsuit is a shame to begin with.
Watch this video to see a counter pov. Unless you're too scared to remove yourself from your echo chamber.
@Tejas What video???
@JackPedigo Is it there now? I'm able to see it
The NRA was supposed to have filed for bankruptcy. The position that irritates me is that the gun lobby & happy gun advocates offer NO solutions to rampant gun violence. All they care about is keeping their guns, fearfully suggesting that the government is coming to take their guns. They offer no solutions or suggestions on how to solve this issue. They block us from the discussion by immediately reverting to name calling & then preventing a conversation. 'Ya just can't reach these folks or have a meaningful dispute on a civil level.
Most NRA members want background checks, and more.
The NRA represents gun manufacturers.
