Think. THINK! In a criminal trial, conviction requires a unanimous verdict. A jury with one stealth Trumpist will set him free.
Will you accept that risk?
Try him for tax evasion, and like Al Capone he can go to prison without a jury.

Tax evasion would seem to be a slam-dunk, as might a bunch of other Federal "misuse of donations" type charges.
