As I was saying in a previous post, this is NOT normal. It's a dire warning!
Hailstones 4" in diameter?
We get it on a regular basis, and although I don't know the numbers, the incidents seem to be increasing in frequency. I've replaced one roof due to hail damage, and one car. But that's nothing to how horribly tragic it is for the toddler to be killed by it. How horrible.
When I was a kid there was a violent hailstorm in the midst of summer, most were the size of gravel (1/4"-1/2" ) but we kids while enjoying sliding around in them found quite a few bigger than golf balls.
Sure wouldn’t want to be outside! And the damage it would do to cars and anything else not covered!
