Big tough texans

Can anyone here explain to me why, out of the hundreds of rides I got on my 5000 mile hitch hiking adventure, the only texan willing to give me a ride was a skinny, little cowgirl and not some big brawny guy driving a camo painted monster truck?

A lot of walking? When I lived there I mostly got yelled at when hitch hiking. I did a lot of walking.
